Audiologists are the primary health-care professionals who evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage hearing loss and balance disorders in adults and children. Provide audiology services to meet patient needs while ensuring compliance with department and payer policies and procedures, applicable health care standards, and governmental laws and regulations. Meets the needs of and assist the patient in the achievement of individualized, defined, and measurable outcomes. Common duties include identifying, assessing and treating hearing problems and balance disorders, discussing symptoms with patients, documenting treatment, ordering equipment. They must be familiar with the latest diagnostic tools available in order to determine both the problem and the best treatment option. Additionally, may be responsible for determining the level of emotional or mental stress the hearing loss may be causing a patient and referring said patient to the appropriate resources to alleviate the stress. Accountable to provide human resource management for area of responsibility including, but not limited to: ensuring appropriate staff are available to meet the needs of the unit; providing input into the selection process; setting clear work expectations and coaching employees as needed for success. Participate in the selection, orientation, supervision, continuing education, and evaluation of personnel. Adjust staffing and work schedules to provide adequate coverage as related to workload.
Doctorate degree in audiology. Valid and current license in the state of Arizona.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. Certified through the American Board of Audiology.
1 year audiology experience. Previous leadership experience.
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
