Audiology Extern Summary Under the supervision of licensed audiologist or otolaryngologist, the Audiology Extern performs diagnostic evaluation and treatment of hearing impairment and balance disorders; discusses symptoms with patients, documenting treatment, ordering equipment, and referring patient to the appropriate resources. This position aims to give employee practical experience and is intended to fill Audiologist role once licensure has been received. Responsibilities Under the supervision of licensed audiologist or otolaryngologist: Conducts hearing evaluations for all age groups. Provides hearing aid consultations for all age groups Conducts hearing aid fittings for all age groups. Repairs, programs, and modifies hearing aids as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Required- Successful completion of Doctorate Degree in Health/Medicine BLS Provide documentation of pending Audiologist licensure receipt within 6 months Preferred- Successful completion of Doctorate Degree in Health/Medicine BLS Provide documentation of pending Audiologist licensure receipt within 3 months
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
