Certified Coder I
Job Description
The Coder I applies ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes to patient accounts. This individual assigns codes to diagnoses in order to ensure proper financial reimbursement from insurance companies and government agencies. The Coder I is responsible for the accurate flow of medical information and patient data between physicians, patients, and third-party payers. This individual primarily codes OP Radiology, professional clinics, and other accounts in the outpatient work queues.
Minimum Requirements:
· Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Risk Coder (CRC) required
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Varied
