Charge Nurse Inpatient - Emergency - Nights
As the only acute care hospital with over 150 beds for 150 miles in any direction, the YRMC Emergency Department sees its fair share of trauma patients. While Yuma does not provide the inner-city experience, we do have two heli-pads to stabilize and ship patients to nearby Phoenix or San Diego hospitals, and they are typically utilized multiple times each week. Our recently remodeled ED hosts 72 patient beds. We have immediate access to the Cardiac Cath Lab for suspected heart patients. Annual patient visits for our ED exceeds 60,000 per year.
The Charge Nurse Inpatient leads people, effectively uses time, equipment and supplies to maximize throughput of the surgical patient. Recruits, trains, and engages perioperative staff while engaging medical staff colleagues to strengthen relationships while continuing to work to meet or exceed organizational and national patient safety and quality goals.
Leads staff members. Performs employee feedbacks, oversees training, makes assignments, and demonstrates leadership to support organizational goals and initiatives. Engages and builds medical staff relationships. Maximizes efficient of utilization of supply, equipment, and labor budget. Supports all patient safety oversight while providing this leadership and direction to supervised staff members. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED: 3+ years related experience ; ASSOCIATE'S DEGREENURSING; BLS AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION ; RN STATE BOARD OF NURSING - ARIZONA
