Our CPE residents are vital to the success of the Yuma Regional Medical Center Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy Services departments. Our residents receive paid time off, a stipend, multiple start date options (spring and fall), and get to work amongst a well-respected and nationally recognized team. The Clinical Pastoral Education Resident provides/arranges provision of pastoral care to premature, neo-natal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, their families and staff on a regular and emergency basis. Participates fully in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program. Functions professionally in an egalitarian environment in all situations to include: crisis intervention, the scene of a death, in a group/therapeutic context. Commits to the YRMC Clinical Pastoral Education Program for a minimum of one year.

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Divinity * One-year commitment to YRMC's program

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree or equivalent in Theological or Spiritual Education from an accredited institution recognized by the Association of Theological Schools * Endorsement or good standing with a religious or spiritual body * Exposure to a clinical environment by completion of one unit of Level 1 CPE from an accredited Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) program. * Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems

 

Work Schedule: 8-hours, Varied, Varied
