|Under the direction of the Director, the Patient Access Manager will provide overall leadership in planning, organizing, and directing in all Patient Access activities for a centralized scheduling/call center, registration, insurance and financial verification and/or documentation, practitioners ‘orders and admitting outpatients, inpatients, and/or Emergency room patients. Responsible to work closely alongside supported physicians, practice staff, and all departments within Yuma Regional Medical Center to ensure that Patient Access delivers high value, patient-and family centered care and support. The Patient Access Manager effectively utilizes and demonstrates knowledge of human resources, organizational and clinical office policies, procedures and systems; knowledge of medical practices, fiscal management, terminology and reimbursement policies; knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs and application; skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objective; skill in analyzing practice operations as they relate to financial objectives, costs, staffing and rate level; familiarity with insurance or managed care benefits and claims processing; skill in establishing and maintaining effective communication and working relationships with patients, medical staff, management, staff and the public; skill in identifying and resolving accounting, contracting or financial problems; ability to encourage motivation, innovation, and high performance; and the ability to delegate responsibility and manage staff and all associated projects.|

| Education Required: |
Bachelor Degree in healthcare related field, Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent combination of education in related field.
Arizona Department of Public Safety (IVP or Non-IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for assigned area/location.
Master’s Degree in healthcare related field, Accounting, Finance, or Business.

| Experience Required: |
Three years in healthcare patient access, business office leadership, or call center leadership experience. Computer proficiency (must be able to pass computer proficiency assessment).
Five years of experience in the Healthcare Industry with emphasis on call center, scheduling, registration, and/or Revenue Cycle processes.
Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems.
Experience with continuous process improvement through the Lean Six Sigma approach.
