Summary
The Supervisor Pharmacy Clinic Operations is responsible for clinical operations and ensures that pharmacy services provide optimal clinical services to support quality patient care. Facilitates development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through safe, and cost-effective medication therapies. Monitors clinical processes, collects & analyzes data regarding outcomes, reports findings, and designs and facilitates quality improvement. Serves as the clinical leader for pharmacy staff, establishes, assesses, and supports the development of competencies among the pharmacy team. Assists & supports Ops Coordinator, Ambulatory Coordinator, & RPD in achieving interrelated clinical, operational, ambulatory service, and Residency programmatic outcomes. Coordinates IPPE/APPE students on rotation at YRMC from colleges of pharmacy. Serves as Residency Program Director in absence of RPD.
Responsibilities
Directs & oversees PGY-1 residency program including quality improvement of program (if acting as Residency Program Director). Coordinates IPPE/APPE students on rotation at YRMC. Precepts PGY-1 residents and students on rotation. Serves on committees, develops departmental policies & procedures, monitors clinical practice, prepares MUE & monographs, has antimicrobial stewardship, etc. to promote continuous quality improvement of pharmacy services at YRMC; responsibility for this increases if not RPD. Develops clinical competency assessments & trainings for the pharmacist team. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED: 5+ years related; 1+ years supervisory experience; DOCTORATE DEGREE PHARMACY ; PHARMACIST ARIZONA STATE BOARD OF PHARMACY
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
