Summary:

The Manager Pharmacy Operations manages resources, processes, and staff in a manner which assures a safe, efficient and well controlled medication management system. Serves as a member of the Pharmacy Management team and provides administrative leadership in the absence of or at discretion of the Director, supports performance of the quality management system, recruits and appraises performance of staff, and participates in business operations and strategic planning. Assists and supports the Clinical Manager ensuring that operations facilitate delivery of designed clinical services in order to achieve positive patient health outcomes. Assists and supports the Supervisor of Oncology Operations to ensure operations facilitate achievement of designed service outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Manages day-to-day operations such as staffing, workflow process, etc. Assists with financial management of primary Pharmacy operations by collaborating with purchasing, buyers, Pharmacy Director, etc. Actively involved in human resources management of pharmacy staff; develops and evaluates performance of staff; orients new team members, etc. Participates and collaborates with cross-departmental committees as well as external organizations to ensure that Pharmacy workflows and processes are communicated throughout the organization to appropriately meet patient/caregiver needs. Identifies trends and patterns of medication use outcomes and stewardship for YRMC. 


REQUIRED: 2+ years related; 1+ years supervisory experience

REQUIRED: Pharmacist (Arizona State Board of Pharmacy) 

REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy 

 

Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
