Under minimal supervision, performs routine Laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently according to the policies and procedures of Laboratory Services to ensure high quality patient care. Performs Lab procedures in all disciplines of the department, including the following sections; Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Blood Bank, and phlebotomy, as needed. This position is responsible for providing excellent patient care through quality Laboratory Services to patients of all age groups.
Our full-service medical laboratory serves inpatients, outpatients and off-site laboratory referrals of all ages (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric)adding-up to 2.5 million tests annually (with 40% Outreach). State-of-the-art testing is performed in such disciplines as pathology, blood bank, hematology/coagulation, serology, chemistry and microbiology. The lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.

Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science Related field Certified as MLT-(ASCP) or equivalent. Education Preferred: Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science .
6 months clinical laboratory experience or successful completion of a clinical rotation through a Medical Laboratory Technician Program. Experience Preferred: 1 year of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
