Nurse Educator RN - Peds/Womens
Yuma Regional Medical Center is a 406-bed facility located in sunny, southwestern Arizona. We have a main hospital campus, off-site cancer center, outpatient laboratory services, and numerous clinics as a part of our medical group, including a primary care facility in the Foothills - 41 locations in total.
The Nurse Educator RN serves as the clinical expert and drives evidenced based clinical practice for all staff; and has responsibility for assessing unit nursing practice and its impact on patient outcomes. The Nurse Educator RN leads and provides clinical direction to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care programs; ensures licensed staff maintains an established level of clinical competency; assumes ongoing responsibilities for the coordination of department orientation and education for all personnel. The Nurse Educator RN oversees the clinical direction of unit specific orientation, staff development, skills training, continuing education, staff education records and participation in quality, safety, and satisfaction programs; provides direct care to patients using the Nursing Process as needed to model best practice and supports collaborative environment through partnering with unit leadership and through coaching, mentoring and counseling as needed.
Active RN license and BLS
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
