Mid = $26.19 (+$2.50 night shift differential)

Summary:
The Patient Care Assistant II assists patient care unit staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse; carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.
Responsibilities:
At YRMC our ED delivers all services 24/7, treating an average of 200-220 patients per day. This includes our internal observation unit staffed with designated RN’s and Nurse Practitioners.
Our 72-bed emergency department is equipped with four trauma bays with built in x-ray and telemedicine capabilities, a dedicated pediatric zone with Emergency Medicine Pediatric Physicians, a dedicated ED pharmacist, two state of the art helipads, and a dedicated radiology suite with two x-ray rooms a 64 slice CT scanner and ultrasound room. Our ED team is invested in not only meeting, but also exceeding national benchmarks such as door to alteplase times < 45 minutes and door to PCI times < 90 minutes.
As the only Trauma Center for 180 miles, we stabilize all acuity of injured patients and strive for rapid transfer when services are not locally available. At YRMC, our ED nurses, physicians, APP’s, patient care attendants, pharmacists, radiology staff, and registration.

Minimum Requirements:
- HS DIPLOMA/GED
- LICENSED NURSING ASSISTANT (LNA)
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
