Patient Care Assistant II - Emergency, Nights

As the only acute care hospital with over 150 beds for 150 miles in any direction, the YRMC Emergency Department sees its fair share of trauma patients. While Yuma does not provide the inner-city experience, we do have two heli-pads to stabilize and ship patients to nearby Phoenix or San Diego hospitals, and they are typically utilized multiple times each week. Our recently remodeled ED hosts 72 patient beds. We have immediate access to the Cardiac Cath Lab for suspected heart patients. Annual patient visits for our ED exceeds 60,000 per year.

The Patient Care Assistant II assists patient care unit staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Work Schedule: 12-hours, Nights, Varied
