Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Services Director assumes ongoing responsibilities for the coordination of diagnostic and blood gas laboratory point of care testing. Is responsible to assure the various quality control and quality assurance functions are carried out. Is responsible for blood gas laboratory safety requirements. Accountable for adherence to state and federal rules and regulations; ensures compliance with federal, state and local agencies. Performs clinical and related duties as required.
Respiratory Care Services
Cardiopulmonary Services encompasses Respiratory Care, EEG, EKG, Echocardiography and Cardiopulmonary Nursing Support Services. The Respiratory Care Services department performs both in-patient and out-patient diagnostic therapeutic procedures for patients in the adult, pediatric neonatal age groups. This department includes a pulmonary diagnostics lab that conducts various pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and bronchoscopies.
Education Required: Associate degree in Respiratory Care. Registered Respiratory Therapist, Arizona licensure, BCLS, ACLS, PALS. Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Arizona Licensure.
Experience Required: 2+ years of acute respiratory care with laboratory/diagnostic experience. Experience Preferred: 2+ years respiratory experience including pulmonary diagnostic and laboratory experience.
