Travel to Arizona! The competent RN has mastered basic technical and organizational nursing skills. He or she is skilled in evaluating patient responses and uses past experiences in providing care. Patients and families are viewed holistically, there is a focus on outcomes, and care is delivered using a systematic approach. The competent RN is able to make decisions guided by limited experience, as well as policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. He or she consults with other members of the healthcare team when necessary. At the competent level, the RN can comfortably care for patients in his or her clinical area.

The Emergency Department at Yuma Regional Medical Center is a 72 bed unit staffed by physicians at all hours. Serving more the 74,000 visits per year, the Emergency Department works diligently to treat patients with any requirements from medical screening to stabilizing level one trauma’s. The ED collaborates with supporting departments and services to ensure national bench marks are met including stroke alteplase times of less than 60 minutes and STEMI times less than 90 minutes to intervention. The ED maintains a close relationship with our contracted flight service in order to ensure patients are safely and quickly transported to appropriate destinations after stabilization. YRMC serves as the base hospital to 7 local EMS agencies and is a level IV trauma center. YRMC is continually making technological advances in order to ensure continuity of care. EPIC is the electronic medical record system utilized throughout the organization.

| Arizona or compact state RN License; BCLS; Advanced Life Support Certification(s) as appropriate & required for assigned department.|
Must be ACLS, PALS and NIH Certified.
|1 year acute care experience. Computer proficiency (must be able to pass computer proficiency assessment). Experience Preferred: Refer to unit specific job requirements. Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems.|
