|Infection Preventionist develops and maintains written policies and procedures related to infection prevention which comply with regulatory agencies for the Yuma Regional Medical Center and outpatient settings. The Infection Preventionist effectively and efficiently utilizes self motivating, organizational, detail focused, and data analytical skills to perform infection prevention surveillance activities at YRMC and assist the healthcare team regarding proper care of infected patients including isolation procedures. The Infection Preventionist will work closely with Employee Heath regarding programs for influenza vaccination and tuberculosis screening. The Infection Preventionist utilizes excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills to share information, education and recommendations to reduce and stop the spread of infection in patients, clients, visitors, healthcare workers, and in the community. Reviews current standards and literature are reviewed and practiced to reduce costs at no increased risk to patients and clients.|

| Education Required: |
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) with Arizona or Compact State RN licensure. CIC (Certified Infection Control) within 3 years of hire.
Master Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master Degree of Public Health (MPH); CIC (Certified Infection Control).
| Experience Required:|
3 years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Computer proficiency (must be able to pass computer proficiency assessment).
2 years infection prevention and epidemiology experience in an acute care hospital. Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems.
