Job Description

Summary:

The Surgical Technologist First Assist (STFA) functions as a First Assistant or as an assistant to the surgeon, within scope of practice. The STFA provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient. He or she performs preoperative and postoperative duties to better facilitate proper patient care and performs functions during the operation under the direction and supervision of the surgeon and in accordance with hospital policy and appropriate laws and regulations.


Requirements:

2+ years of related experience

Completion of a FA program

BLS

 

Work Schedule: 10-hours, Days, Varied
