Patient Access Representative- Allergy Clinic
Ambulatory Operations at Yuma Regional Medical Center currently spans 22 locations and 46 clinics, although that number is always increasing! Working within our large group of clinics / outpatient services provides you the opportunity to work with a team of clinical experts in the specialty area where you have been assigned. Whether your passion is allergy and immunology, cardiology, orthopedics, or another area - you will be surrounded by individuals with high integrity and amazing talent.
Patient Access Representatives complete patient registration, greeting our patients and making them feel welcome and aware of the process. Patient Access Reps also register patients involved in serious or life-threatening situations in a timely and accurate manner. Work may be performed for walk-in arrivals, at the patient bedside, or at a designated desk. Collecting cash, check, or credit card payments and maintaining a cash drawer are also part of the assigned duties. The Patient Access Rep also notifies and verifies insurance via phone, fax, or insurance company website. This role deals closely with our patients and their families regarding patient finances, which has an important impact on their experience with YRMC. Providing thorough and clear communication regarding financial responsibilities and expectations is required.
· High School Diploma / GED
· One (1) or more years of related experience
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
