Patient Access Representative
Yuma Regional Medical Center's Cancer Center is located adjacent to YRMC's main campus. This facility provides a team of dedicated physicians, nurse navigators to help coordinate care, amazing volunteers, access to the latest clinical trials, complementary therapies to support healing and is backed by cancer experts and a loving and supportive community. Patient Access Representatives complete patient registration, greeting our patients and making them feel welcome and aware of the process. Patient Access Reps also register patients involved in serious or life-threatening situations in a timely and accurate manner. Work may be performed for walk-in arrivals, at the patient bedside, or at a designated desk. Collecting cash, check, or credit card payments and maintaining a cash drawer are also part of the assigned duties. The Patient Access Rep also notifies and verifies insurance via phone, fax, or insurance company website. This role deals closely with our patients and their families regarding patient finances, which has an important impact on their experience with YRMC. Providing thorough and clear communication regarding financial responsibilities and expectations is required.
· High School Diploma / GED
· One (1) or more years of related experience
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
