Program Manager Medical Informatics
Yuma Regional Medical Center is a 406-bed facility located in sunny, southwestern Arizona. We have a main hospital campus, off-site cancer center, outpatient laboratory services, and numerous clinics as a part of our medical group, including a primary care facility in the Foothills - 41 locations in total.
Under the direction of the Department Leadership the incumbent assumes ongoing responsibilities for the coordination of learner-focused training of physicians and other licensed providers in the optimal use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to include ordering, clinical documentation, compliance with applicable regulations so as to promote optimal provider satisfaction with the EHR, and a model patient experience. The Program Manager will aid in build, validation and monitoring of electronic clinical quality metrics. The incumbent will support Lean Process Improvement via direct workflow observation, documentation of standard workflows, and development of appropriate educational offerings to support proficiency. The Program Manager will also support scholarly activities in collaboration with the Chief Academic Officer, in support of residents, fellows and other learners in Clinical Informatics. This position reports to the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO).
3+ years of experience as a care-giver user of an electronic health system comparable to YRMC’s
Past experience leading classroom or peer-training initiatives, including presentations and curriculum development;
Understanding of regulatory environment in health care and demonstrated ability to translate these into software configuration.
PREFERRED: Certification or proficiency in at least one Epic application
Experience in translating regulatory requirements for operational leaders
Prior experience analyzing and advising on EHR workflows, especially within a context of Lean Process Improvement.
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
